Description

Sealed bids will be received by the City Clerk of Fairview Heights, Municipal Complex, front desk, 10025 Bunkum Road, Fairview Heights, IL 62208 until 2:00 p.m. CST on June 29, 2016. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time in the Parks and Recreation Office.

The City reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, and may accept that which is most advantageous to the City of Fairview Heights. The successful bidder shall be an equal opportunity employer.

Bid packets are available at the Fairview Heights City Clerk’s Office, Municipal Complex, 10025 Bunkum Road, Fairview Heights, IL 62208.

The City hereby encourages (1) “minority” business firms to submit bids on the approved project and (2) successful contract bidders to utilize minority business as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services and construction.

PROJECT LABOR AGREEMENT: Successful Bidder shall be required to comply in all respects with a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) in which when a project is let for bid the contractor is required to sign the PLA and submit it, along with the bid documents, to the City.

Successful bidder shall be required to comply in all respects with State Wages Rates, including applicable statutory provisions concerning payment of prevailing wages on Pubic Works Projects. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works act (820 ILCS 130/1-12).
